[April 20, 2011]  Last week's scheduled Northern Allstars event, featuring the Super Late Models, was victim to Mother Nature. Severe weather pummeled the area, canceling races in much of the state. The Northern Allstars event will be rescheduled for May 27.

This Friday, the Lincoln Speedway will host a regular full show featuring the UMP Sportsman, UMP Street Stocks, UMP Modifieds, UMP E-Mods and the UMP Hornets (Wild Things). The Eagles will handle the 50-50 drawing. Racing action will get under way at 7 p.m., with hot laps to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Another full night of racing action is in store. Will Brad Denny in the Crate Late Model class have his car dialed in to take the win this week? After leading the whole race on opening night, Denny was passed on the last lap by Nick Bauman, who then took the win.

In the Modified division, defending track champion Brian Lynn, in the No. 14 Cashless car, had mechanical problems on opening night, leaving the father-son duo of Butch and Alan Weisser to battle it out in the feature.

Lincoln Speedway is constantly updating their website. If weather should turn inclement, be sure to visit www.lincolnspeedway.org for cancellation notices. You can also find the speedway on Facebook.
