4-H chicken judging

Tuesday morning several turned out with their favorite hen or rooster to be judged for grand champion over all in the 4-H class.

Judging took place for 4-H birds as well as the open class.

In the end the best of the best was a bird belonging to Tate Gordon.

The award, called Grand Champion Chicken Maxine Maxheimer Memorial,  was presented by grandson Tanner Strampp, granddaughter Wendy LeCompte, and great-grandsons Caleb and Connor Steffens.
