[August 03, 2011]  BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- MSNBC is reinstating political analyst Mark Halperin this week, a month after he was suspended for an off-color remark about President Barack Obama.

Halperin, a Time magazine editor at large, will return to "Morning Joe" on Wednesday, MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines said Tuesday.

Halperin had referred to Obama as "a dick" on "Morning Joe" on June 30 during a discussion about the president's news conference the day before.

He had prefaced his remark by asking, "Are we on the seven-second delay?" But a producer pushed a wrong button and Halperin's statement wasn't edited out of the live transmission.

After the incident, both MSNBC and Halperin apologized.
