4-H Pig Scramble

A good crowd filled the grandstand for the 4-H scrambles.

The pig scramble was a tough one. Youngsters wore gloves covered in Crisco to make it harder to bring the pigs back to the pens. Some pigs just lay down, and the 4-H'ers had to pull them back to where a cage was waiting. Handlers stayed attentive to make sure none of the piglets overheated from trying to fight off the youngsters.
