The Special Events Building at the fairgrounds was full of laughter and good times on Thursday, when organizers invited youngsters to Kids' Day, an afternoon of assorted activities. There was no registration and no fee to join the fun. Elementary-age children moved from station to station, blowing bubbles, creating pictures with foam shapes, dressing up from a closet of colorful clothes, twirling hula hoops, playing ball toss -- spending a couple of hours just playing with simple toys and games. Moms and grandmas could sit and watch or play along. Assistants were on hand, including Bethany Rea, the 2010 Logan County Fair queen , and newly crowned 2011 Logan County Fair Queen Kelsi Ubbenga. Spending some casual time away from her official duties, 2011 Little Miss Julia Collins joined in the fun.
