With a large selection of
quality steers, the judge had his hands full deciding which of all
the entries at the Saturday morning Junior Beef Show was the best of
the best.
In the end, Chase Aylesworth took the reserve champion title.
Included in his winnings was a cash prize of $125, sponsored by Hanner Cattle Co. of Elkhart.
Grand champion went to Brandon Hickey. Brandon received a monetary
award of $500, provided by Ag-Land FS. Ag-Land's manager, Kevin
Kurtz, was on hand for the photo with Hickey, along with the 2011 Miss
Logan County, Kelsi Ubbenga.
An award was also given for grand champion and reserve grand
champion in all British breeds. That award went to Nathanial Fanning
on both counts.
