GM sells passenger cars and commercial vehicles in China under the Baojun, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Jiefang, Opel and Wuling brands. The company reported sales of more than 2.35 million vehicles in China last year, up 28.8 percent over 2009, claiming the top spot among global automakers in the country for the sixth year in a row. GM's China ventures sold a record 1.27 million vehicles in the first half of this year, though growth slowed sharply from the double-digit pace of recent years.
