[August 09, 2011]  BOLIVIA, N.C. (AP) -- A North Carolina teenager who stars on MTV's reality show "Teen Mom 2" has been charged with a probation violation.

Brunswick County Detention Center Officer Chris Farmer said Jenelle Evans was brought to the county jail Monday evening. He did not have details of the arrest other than the charge.

Evans' attorney Dustin Sullivan did not immediately return messages left after hours Monday.

The 19-year-old Evans was charged with assault in March after a fight recorded on video. A month later, she received 12 months of probation and community service for a drug paraphernalia charge.

Evans is from Oak Island.

"Teen Mom" documents the challenges of four teens' first years of motherhood.
