Mud bogs -- Album 1

Sunday at what was proclaimed by the announcer of the day as "Redneck Sunday," the Mudslinger Mud Bog races returned to the Logan County Fair for the second year.

Last year, the mud event was free of charge and held at the south end of the infield.

After seeing the turnout in 2010, the fair board decided to make the bogs part of their grandstand schedule, and this year the Mudslingers ran two bogs in front of the grandstands.

General admission at the gate was raised from the daily $3 to $5. Spectators then entered the grandstands free.

The daylong event featured several local drivers and some really "big boys" in the sport. There were also several "Dash for Cash" events where kids and adults had the opportunity to get a little muddy for cash and prizes.
