"She made everyone at ALMH look and sound fantastic, from the annual
report to the Web pages to all of the press releases," said
co-worker April Jensen, Abraham Lincoln Healthcare Foundation
coordinator. "She is also a great teacher and allows others to grow
with great encouragement." Denney has worked as communications
specialist for ALMH for nearly three years. Previously, she has
worked at several daily newspapers in central Illinois, in both the
advertising and editorial ends of the business. She earned her
master's degree in public affairs reporting from University of
Illinois at Springfield and holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois
State University, where she studied journalism, public relations and
political science.
At ALMH, she oversees the employee newsletter and the annual
report, and she writes press releases. She also works on advertising
campaigns and a range of other communication projects and events.
"I love that every day of my job is different," Denney said. "I
get to do all my favorite things -- write stories and write photos
every week. I love working for an organization with such strong
values and a clear mission, which is really quite inspiring. I'm
constantly learning from my co-workers, and I've made so many
friends at ALMH, too."
