Marcia Warner of the Lincoln Elks Lodge presented the check to
Angela Stoltzenburg, Community Action executive director. The funds
will be used to support Community Action's Senior Nutrition and
Senior Transportation programs. "We are very grateful to have the support of the
Lincoln Elks Lodge," said Angie Jenkins, senior programs director.
"Seniors will directly benefit from these funds as we continue to
provide meals and transportation."
Community Action's Senior Nutrition program delivers five meals
each week to seniors every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In addition
to home-delivered meals, senior dining sites are located throughout
Logan County. The agency's Senior Transportation program provides
transportation for seniors to medical appointments, social trips and
other needs.
Community Action senior programs are provided to seniors age 60
and over for only a suggested donation. The agency has provided
these services to seniors for over 35 years.
Seniors interested in participating in the Senior Transportation
or Senior Nutrition program can contact Community Action at
217-732-2159.
