Evan Jodlowski, 16, of Atlanta, was awarded for the best doe in show at the Illinois State Fair dairy goat junior show Saturday. In doing so, he had the privilege of participating in the Governor’s Sale of Champions and Commodities Auction on Agriculture Day on Tuesday in Springfield. His gallon of goat milk from his Lamancha doe, Yellobird, brought a record $1,200. Parker Elvidge, of Auburn, was the winning bidder for the milk. Evan is the son of Ed and Colleen Jodlowski and is a member of the Olympia FFA and the Atlanta Town & Country 4-H.
