Heat, gusty winds, scattered showers and storms expected today

[August 24, 2011]  A hot and humid day is anticipated across central and southeast Illinois ahead of an approaching cold front. This front may trigger some thunderstorms across the region by late Wednesday afternoon or early evening. The highest chance for storms will be toward the Indiana border.
