[August 29, 2011]  Playing Saturday afternoon, the Lincoln College women's soccer team dropped their first match of the season to ICC 6-0.

Brittany Ashburn (sophomore, Herscher HS) made some clutch saves to lead the Lynx into halftime down 2-0. In the second half ICC's depth wore down the Lynx.

"I was impressed with our effort today," said Lincoln coach Amber Angermeier. "It was hot and the ladies battled for the full 90 minutes. Robin Damron (freshman, Elyria, Ohio) and Patience Keller (freshman, Danville HS) did a good job on defense, and Brittany made several good saves. I look forward to getting back to training to prepare for Heartland."
