Congratulations to the Lady Railer freshman volleyball
team for taking first place out of 13 teams in a tournament at
Morton on Saturday. In pool play the Lady
Railers went 1-1, losing first to Normal Community with the scores
of 10-25, 23-25 and then winning against East Peoria 25-18, 25-14. In
bracket play the Lady Railers advanced to the championship match by
defeating Washington. The championship was played out in three
games, with the Railers taking first place. The freshman team is
coached by Chelsey Smith. The team consists of the following
players:
Front: Naomi Bailey, Taylor Walters, Brighton
Robbins, Lexi Tibbs, Alison Pagel and Bailey Goodman.
Back: Ashley Getchel, Kristin Engelhardt, Kenzie Cooper, Kylie
