Lions struggle offensively The LCU men's team left for Grand
Rapids, Mich., on Thursday to participate in the NCCAA Midwest
Regional. The Red Lions lost their first game of the weekend to
Great Lakes Christian College 77-57.
Senior Mark Hamm led LCU with 16 points and six rebounds the
night. Junior Brady Cremeens recorded 11 points, while Great Lakes
was able to hold LCU's leading scorer for the season, Chris Lawson,
to seven for the match. Senior captain Mac Ingmire recorded a
season-high nine assists.
All season the Red Lions have relied on their shooting abilities
from the 3-point line to compensate for their lack of height.
Thursday night, LCU shot a season-low 22 percent from the arc, which
proved to be a key component of the loss.
The Red Lions (2-4) will play their second of three games at the
regional against a tough Northland International University team
Friday night at 6.
Kirckpatrick and the LCU women can't handle Northland
The LCU women's team left for Dunbar, Wis., to participate in the
NCCAA Midwest Regional on Thursday. The Red Lions recorded a 60-44
loss against Northland International University.
LCU was led by freshman Tatiana Colclasure, who scored 16 points
and seven rebounds. Sophomore Moriah Kirckpatrick recorded a
double-double, by adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Red Lions
struggled from the field, shooting just 26 percent for the match.

The Red Lions (1-3) will face Maranatha Baptist Bible College at
3 p.m. Friday for their final game of the regional.
