[December 05, 2011]  CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- The Lincoln College wrestling team traveled to Wabash College this weekend to compete in the Indiana Little State Tournament. The two-day tournament had some ups and downs for the Lynx team. Overall it was a productive weekend, with several Lynx having their first competition of the year.

Eleven Lynx placed in the top eight of the tournament in their weight classes, and LC had one champion.

Placers were as follows:

  • 133 -- Kory Robinson, seventh

  • 144 -- Ethan Raley, first; Anthony Higbee, sixth

  • 149 -- Mark Marianovich, third

  • 157 -- Mike Togher, third; Alex Young, eighth

  • 165 -- Steve Burling, sixth; Andre Foster, eighth

  • 184 -- Mike Johnson, second

  • Hwt -- West Cathcart, fourth; Gabe Berry, seventh

Next weekend the team travels to River Grove to compete at the Triton tournament. This is an important weekend for the Lynx because of regional seeding.
