Margaret Gehlbach

[December 06, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Margaret M. Gehlbach, 82, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at 2:05 a.m. at The Christian Village Nursing Home.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. Prior to the visitation, there will be a rosary service at 4:45 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rev. Glenn Fontana officiating.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Gehlbach retired as a manager for Villas West Condominium Association in Green Valley, Ariz.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1929, in Crystal Falls, Mich. Her parents were Frederick and Evelyn Martin Johndrow. She married Robert C. Gehlbach on May 1, 1948, in Green Bay, Wis.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Gary (and Christyne) Gehlbach, Marianne (and Daniel) Whitney, Lynne (and Bert) Buehler, Dianne (and Ronald) Buch, Philip Gehlbach (and Chuck Engle) and Carol (and Nathaniel) Radwine; two sisters, Easter Kiddle and Audry Glenn; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandson.

Margaret was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Women's Guild and Young at Heart.

She graduated from West High School in Green Bay, Wis.

Memorials may be made to The Christian Village Nursing Home.
