Wednesday, December 21st – 7:00 p.m. - The Christmas Love Language of Physical Touch

December 25th – The Christmas Love Language of Gift Giving

During the season of Advent we will explore the 5 Love Languages of Christmas. This series is based on the best selling, 5 Love Language, books written by Gary Chapman. I encourage you to visit www.5lovelanguages.com/assessments to determine which love language you speak. It will go a long way in helping you understand yourself and those around you.
The December 7 & 14 Advent services will be preceded by a supper served from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Free will donation for the meal.

Harvest of Talents

Got a sweet tooth or know someone who does?  Harvest of Talents for World Hunger Christmas Cookie Walk will be Saturday, December 5, 2011, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Lincoln Christian Church Family Room.  The church is located in the heart of downtown Lincoln across from Lathem Park at 204 N. McLean St.     All proceeds go to I.D.E.S. (International Disaster Emergency Services) for world hunger.

 

Celebrate! Christmas 2011
Saturday, December 10 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.
in the Lincoln Chrisitan Church Fellowship Center
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the season
Featuring almost 200 vocalists and instrumentalists and all of our ensembles including the Combined Kids’ Choirs; HeartSong Jr. High Choir; Good News High School Choir; Sanctuary Choir; Fellowship Center Worship Band and Vocalists; and Handbells – this will be a concert that you won’t want to miss! Join as we Celebrate! Christmas.

 

Christmas Eve Candle Light Services Saturday, December 24 at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. in their Sanctuary.

Christmas Day Services will be Sunday, Dec. 25 at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

 Lincoln; have been scheduled and the public is invited to participate in any or all events.
Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. Pre-service special music each Sunday at 10:15 a.m. and worship services begin at 10:30 a.m. (except Dec 18th at 11:00 for Contata)
DECEMBER 11- pre-service: Handbell Choir During worship, Church Missions Coats Project donations will be presented to Community Action.
5:00 P.M. Church Christmas Dinner with Sunday School program following dinner.
DECEMBER 18-pre-service: Adult Chime Choir - During 11:00 worship voices from area churches combined to perform Christmas Contata “Do You Hear What I Hear?” That evening they will perform at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 7:00 p.m.
DECEMBER 24 – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service 11:00 p.m. Pre-service music by Adult Chime Choir. Service will feature Lessons and Carols and Handbell Choir. Holy Communion will also be observed – (UCC practices open communion) and at midnight worshippers individual candles will be lit.
DECEMBER 25CHRISTMAS DAY worship at 10:30. Laura Lee, organist will offer special music beginning at 10;15.

Open Arms Christian Fellowship

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Everyone in Lincoln & Central Illinois is invited & encouraged to attend Open Arms Christian Fellowship (311 Broadway) on Saturday December 24 at 10 PM for Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. You will be reminded and refreshed as we remember the true reason for this Christmas season with this intimate service. Feel free to bring your kids in their pj's and come as you are for this special evening in December.

Christmas Celebration Service - Sunday December 25 at 10 AM
What an awesome opportunity to show our children and grandchildren the true meaning of the season! We will gather together for a very special service as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You will not want to miss this time together.
