[December 12, 2011 The Sunday service at St. John United Church of Christ included the 22nd annual giving of coats. Money from a Thanksgiving offering is used to purchase new coats for youngsters in need. This year, funds allowed the purchasing of 180 coats. This brings the 22-year total to 2,037 coats. The coats will now go to Community Action to be passed out to children who need a warm coat for winter.
