[December 16, 2011 Bands from District 27 have performed winter concerts, and some have played mini-concerts for student audiences at various schools. As the first semester winds down, winter break is fast approaching and the Christmas season is upon us, they have shared the holiday spirit as only musicians can.

The cadet and concert bands, directed by Mrs. Kuhlmyer, performed at a winter concert on Dec. 7; the concert band went on tour to Central School, Washington-Monroe and Northwest School this week; Lincoln Junior High musicians, under the direction of Ms. Larson, presented their winter concert Dec. 13; and the jazz band gave a short program in the commons during lunchtime Thursday, wrapping up the musical presentations for 2011.
