[December 20, 2011]  On Monday, the Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership board voted unanimously for its new officers.

Last month, the partnership board voted to adopt amended bylaws that will take effect Jan. 1. The bylaws now identify a line of succession for the officers on the board and meant an election of two officers for this year. In accordance with the amended bylaws, the partnership elected two new and two past officers for 2012.

The 2012 officers are:

  • Steve Smith, president

  • Vic Martinek, vice president

  • Bob Bagby, treasurer

  • Bob Pharis, member at large

  • Mark Hughes, past president

The members of the partnership's board of directors are appointed by the cities of Lincoln, Atlanta and Mount Pulaski; the village of Elkhart; the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce; the Logan County Board; and the development partnership. The new officers are representatives from the chamber of commerce, partnership and county board.

The Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership is a nonprofit charitable organization with the goals to develop new business, retain current business and enhance the quality of life in Lincoln and Logan County.
