[December 31, 2011]  HARTSBURG -- A communication from Hartsburg State Bank has notified LDN that a new bank president has been chosen. The following is the copy received.

The Board of Directors of Hartsburg State Bank has recently elected Charles Ruben as president of the bank to replace John Russell. Barb Imming will be fulfilling the duties of cashier.

Mr. Ruben and the other members of the Board of Directors of Hartsburg State Bank are committed to quickly restoring the management team of the bank and are taking ongoing actions to accomplish this in a very timely manner.

It should be noted that communications with bank regulators and external auditors have confirmed that all of the bank's deposits continue to be fully covered by FDIC insurance and the bank's capital account balances continue to exceed the highest level of regulatory guidelines.
