Tuesday the Midwest saw a
massive storm pass through, and the city of Lincoln did not dodge
the bullet this time. Snow began around 10 in the
morning and grew continually heavier throughout the day. Winds
caused drifting and whiteouts that made driving hazardous if not
impossible during the night.

In spite of some snow and sleet Monday night,

By a little past 8 a.m., shoppers were hitting the
grocery stores, looking to stock up on essentials to weather out the
storm.

By 10 the wind was already kicking up, but it

parking spaces around the courthouse square, as many shoppers stayed

he or she needs to before it gets too bad. |
Taken shortly after noon, this picture shows
side streets already drifting over as the winds begin to increase in
velocity.
