Emergency services for fire-displaced family

[February 12, 2011]  Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services has responded to a Lincoln house fire this morning. Emergency shelter, food, clothing and other immediate needs have been provided to the family. As lead agency for disaster relief and recovery, The Salvation Army of Logan County will continue to assist the displaced family with both immediate relief and long-term recovery needs.

Members of the community may contribute financially to the family's long-term recovery needs by donation to The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services with specific designation to "Lincoln fire relief."

Individuals, businesses or organizations desiring to assist the family are asked to contact the Lincoln office of The Salvation Army directly at 217-732-7890 directly. Donations may be mailed to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 52, Lincoln, IL 62656.

More information will be provided to the community as it is available.
