Red Lions men end regular season with a victory

[February 21, 2011]  Breaking out to a 14-0 lead, the Red Lions men's basketball team from Lincoln Christian University handed the Tigers of Emmaus Bible College a 74-42 defeat as LCU looks forward to the NCCAA regional tournament in Chicago next weekend. LCU ends their regular season with a 19-7 record.

After leading 30-9 the Red Lions allowed the Tigers to narrow the gap to 38-29 at the half. The Tigers continued to cut into the lead in the second half, getting within eight at 44-36. The Red Lions then turned up the heat as they outscored Emmaus 23-0 in the next 10 minutes to put the game out of reach at 67-36, leading to the final margin of 32 points.

LCU shot 47.6 from the field, 33 percent from 3-point range and outrebounded Emmaus 46-34 as they totally dominated the game.

Brady Cremeens and Dave Corcoran led the Red Lions with 14 points each, while Josiah Brock added 11 points along with 10 rebounds. Eight other players scored for LCU.
