[February 24, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Larry King thinks his successor, Piers Morgan, laid on the hype a little too thick before debuting last month.

King returned to CNN on Monday as the interview subject of his successor. It happened just two months after King's 25-year career on CNN's prime time ended.

While Morgan declared King his hero, the two had an awkward exchange when discussing a recent interview in which King said Morgan had oversold the new show.

Morgan said he liked overselling himself. The new host said that "it's quite funny."

Morgan ended the interview by presenting King with a pair of suspenders emblazoned by the British Union Jack.
