[February 25, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Three stars from the "Spider-Man" Broadway musical will appear on the "Late Show With David Letterman" next week.

Reeve Carney, Jennifer Damiano and T.V. Carpio will perform the song "Rise Above" on Tuesday's show, marking the first time members of the $65 million musical will be guests on a late-night talk show.

The trio will tape the show at Letterman's home at the Ed Sullivan Theater and perform the "Spider-Man" musical that evening at the Foxwoods Theatre.

Like most late-night comics, Letterman has ridiculed the show's delays, injuries and ballooning costs, including having a "Top Ten Signs Your Wife Is Having an Affair With Spider-Man."

A spokesman for the musical says producers have been "flattered" by the attention and "wanted to return the favor by boosting his ratings on Tuesday."
