Mildred Campbell

[February 24, 2011]  LINCOLN -- Mildred M. Campbell, 90, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at 2:50 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker.

She was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Altamont. Her parents were Albert and Marie Haseley Harnish. She married Frank Stengel, and he preceded her in death in 1945 in World War II. She married Edward B. Campbell on Jan. 27, 1962, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2000.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (and Robert) Purviance of Lincoln; one stepson, George A. (and Linda) Campbell of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Greg Purviance, Kim (and Ken) Nevius, Christopher Purviance and Nicole Hoagland; three stepgrandchildren, Mark Campbell, Tammy Campbell and Marcey Finn; and six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Norman, and one stepson, Marcel Campbell.

Funeral Director

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to her church or to Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln.
