[February 28, 2011]  According to Recalls.org, a nonprofit organization, the following recalls were issued by various federal and state agencies during the week ending Feb. 26:

PIER 1 TEA LIGHTS 

Pier 1 Imports is recalling golden tea lights sold with ornament tea light holders sold at Pier 1 Imports stores nationwide and in Canada from September 2010 to January 2011.  The flame from the tea lights can burn with a high flame, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves all tea lights in golden tin cups sold in sets of five with either the Red Ornament Tea Light Holder (SKU 2473959) or the White Ornament Tea Light Holder (SKU 2473961). The SKU number is found on the packaging. 

Consumers should return the candles to their nearest Pier 1 Imports store to receive new tea lights.

JOGGING STROLLERS 

B.O.B. Trailers Inc. is recalling B.O.B.® single and double strollers sold nationwide and in Canada from April 2002 to February 2011. A drawstring on the stroller can get wrapped around a child’s neck, posing a strangulation hazard. 

This recall involves 11 models of B.O.B.® single and double strollers. A full list can be found at www.recalls.org.  

Consumers should remove the drawstring. If using a separately purchased Weather Shield or Sun Shield accessory with the recalled stroller, contact B.O.B. LE CREUSET LIDS 

Le Creuset of America Inc. is recalling Le Creuset glass lids sold nationwide from October 2010 to January 2011. The glass lids can crack or break during use, posing a laceration hazard. 

This recall involves Le Creuset glass lids sold after October 2010. The affected models include: 24cm glass lid, 28cm glass lid, and 30cm glass lid (including 30cm glass lids sold as part of the Le Creuset Forged Hard-Anodized 30cm Shallow Casserole with Lid set.). 

Consumers should return the lids to Le Creuset for a full refund of the purchase price.

REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEMS 

Niles Audio Corp. is recalling remote control systems for entertainment electronics sold nationwide from January 2008 to September 2010. If the battery falls from the remote control during handling, it can rupture and smoke or ignite, posing a fire hazard. 

This recall involves the Niles iRemoteTS and iC2 remote control systems. These are wireless remote control devices that are designed to operate audio, video and home theater systems from a single remote control. “iC2” and the Niles logo are printed on the front of the unit.

FELT BICYCLES 

Felt Bicycles is recalling 2011 Felt Adult bicycles sold nationwide from July 2010 to November 2010. The bicycle's fork can break, causing the rider to lose control, fall and suffer injuries. 

The recall includes all 2011 Felt F3, F4, F5 and F75 bicycles with carbon fiber frames and carbon fiber forks. "Felt" is written across the down tube of the bicycle frame. 

Consumers should contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer to receive a free inspection and repair.

REI BICYCLES 

REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) dba Novara is recalling Novara Fusion Bicycles sold exclusively by REI nationwide from November 2009 to November 2010. The alloy steerer tube could separate from the fork causing the rider to lose control, posing a fall hazard. 

This recall involves Novara Fusion bicycles with serial numbers U95Y07321, U96Y28393, or in the sequential range of the last four digits U96Y28876 through U96Y29128. Serial numbers are located on the underside of the bike. 

Consumers should contact their local REI store or the REI customer service center to arrange for a replacement fork to be installed free of charge.
