[January 07, 2011]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Colin Quinn's short history lesson is getting longer and longer.

The former "Saturday Night Live" comedian's Broadway show, "Colin Quinn Long Story Short," has been extended for a second time and is now set to close March 5.

The Jerry Seinfeld-directed 75-minute romp through history was expected to end its 11-week run this week, but good numbers at the box office and low costs have translated into two extensions at the Helen Hayes on 44th Street.

Producers are also discussing a national tour for the show.

An upcoming off-Broadway production of Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters," starring Maggie Gyllenhaal (JIHL'-ihn-hahl), Josh Hamilton and Jessica Hecht, has had its five-week run extended at the Classic Stage Company until March 6. Previews begin next week.
