Former Lincoln youth is finalist in online contest

A youth with ties to Lincoln is hoping to win a full-size classic arcade game. And he sure could use the assistance of area residents to do it. Andrew Gray, son of Chris and Joy Gray of Washington, was chosen to participate in an online contest for the new Pac-Man Party video game by Namco Bandai Games.

Andrew was one of 16 participants who received a copy of the video game, as well as plush Pac-Man hats, plush ghost dolls, buttons and various coupons. In return, Andrew had to record a video of a Pac-Man-themed party and submit it online to the company.

Representatives of the company selected four videos as finalists and placed them online for a vote. The creator of the video that receives the most votes by the Jan. 10 deadline wins the grand prize of a Namco Pac-Man arcade machine.

Andrew's video is the one titled "Crazy PACMAN Party," and the page is located at http://pacman.com/en/pacmanparty/contest.

The Lincoln Youth Wrestling team results at the Saukee Kids Open are as follows:

  • 6 and under -- Dustin Meacham, Chase Reed and Chase McCormick took second place.

  • 7 and 8 -- Alex Bogdanic and Austin O’Donoghue took first place; Cade Tanner and Braydon Saylor took second; Bryton Fuchs, Tony Gandolfi, Roux Starr and Tyler Mason took third; and Terrance Hyde, Devyn Snow and Tyler Sprague took fourth.

  • 9 and 10 -- Taylon Mason and Trevor Bree took second place; Tyler Werth took third; and Dalton Westcott took fourth.

  • 11 and 12 -- Scott Lessen took third place.

Lincoln Youth Wrestling will head to Jacksonville on Sunday.
