[January 17, 2011]  GENEVA (AP) -- Swiss bank UBS is revising its dress code after getting roundly mocked for suggesting employees wear skin-colored underwear and avoid garlic breath.

InsuranceThe bank says it is whittling down its 44-page style guide to a more modest booklet that will concentrate on how to impress customers with a polished presence and sense of Swiss precision. UBS spokesman Andreas Kern said Monday the bank is "reviewing what is important to us."

The original code instructed women how to apply makeup and which perfume to wear.

Men were told how to knot a tie and to avoid unruly beards, garlic breath and earrings.

Kern declined to say if the revised dress code will still recommend skin-colored underwear for women and wristwatches for all to signal trustworthiness and punctuality.
