I nterim fire Chief
Mark Miller is “interim” no more. Tuesday evening Mayor Keith
Snyder presented Miller as his choice for the position of chief
of the Lincoln Fire Department. The council approved
unanimously. Moments after being sworn in, Miller posed for this
picture with his family. Pictured are Miller, wife Amy, 7-year-old son Wiat and 11-year-old son Evan.

Jan. 19, 2008, file photo shows the original grave of Edgar
Allen Poe, with a bottle of cognac and roses left by a
mysterious visitor, in Baltimore. Fans of American author
Poe headed to Baltimore again this year to try for a
glimpse of the shadowy figure known only as the "Poe
toaster" -- even though the mystery visitor was a no-show
last year.
