Mark Miller sworn in as new fire chief

Tuesday evening the Lincoln City Council approved by unanimous vote Mayor Keith Snyder's choice of Mark Miller as the city's newest chief of the Lincoln Fire Department.

The gallery of council chambers was filled with well-wishers for the new chief including his wife, Amy, sons Evan and Wiat, friend and neighbor Amber Bone and family, in-laws Gary and Nancy Dodson, Miller's former chief from the Sherman Fire Department, Richard Coon and wife Pat, and several firefighters from the city of Lincoln.
