[January 20, 2011]  No. 6-ranked Lincoln College wrestling hosted the No. 3-ranked Harper Hawks of Palatine and came away with a 36-12 victory.

  • 125 lbs. -- Prentice Thomas (L) pinned George Ililopolos (H), 3:58.

  • 133 lbs. -- D'Marcus Spencer (L) won by forfeit.

  • 141 lbs. -- DaMonte Riley (L) beat Jeff Vernola (H) 6-5.

  • 149 lbs. -- Mark Marianovich (L) beat Alex Maynard (H) 17-4.

  • 157 lbs. -- Christian Taborn (L) pinned Jackson Reid (H), :34.

  • 165 lbs. -- Rick Goerke (L) pinned Ryan Bell (H), 4:18.

  • 174 lbs. -- Khari Washington (H) won by forfeit.

  • 184 lbs. -- Michael Johnson (L) pinned Vinnie Polanco (H), 4:05.

  • 197 lbs. -- Mike Stumpf (H) beat Fred Moses (L) 8-4.

  • Hwt. -- Gary Jackson (H) beat Andre Dunn (L) 4-2.

"I thought our guys wrestled pretty well tonight," said head coach Dave Klemm. "Harper had a lot of their regular starters out of their lineup, but it was still a good win for us."

Saturday the Lynx will travel to Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind., to compete in the Monen Bell Classic.
