				Vegas…Vonderlieth
				style!
2011 has opened with a flurry of
winter weather and, at least at Vonderlieth, a rush to the
tables! Residents made the long trip to the Velvet Lounge Casino
(the Activity Room) for an afternoon of high-stakes thrills on
Wednesday. At the end of the day, there was a lottery drawing for the
“high-roller winners," with prizes ranging from a special dinner
to a really large stuffed goat.
 Another picture is in today's
				Community section.

										U.S.
President John F. Kennedy delivers his
inaugural address after taking the oath
of office at Capitol Hill in Washington,
D.C., in this Jan. 20, 1961, file photo.
										The 14-minute inaugural's Cold War-era
content, shaped by a World War II
veteran for a country on the brink of
										cultural upheaval, is certainly
outdated. Were it uttered by a modern
										politician, Kennedy's famous "ask not"
call to service might well be derided as
a socialist pitch for more government.
										"Unfortunately, in today's environment,
speeches are more likely to say, 'Ask
not what you can do for your country,
ask what you can do for your party,'"
says Mark McKinnon, a former adviser to
										both Republicans and Democrats who
										recently helped establish a
										nonpartisan organization.
										See story
"On JFK 50th, Kennedy family gathers
										in Washington" in

In this Dec. 22, 2010, file photo, Anna Chapman, who
was deported from the U.S. on charges of espionage, is seen on stage
in Moscow, Russia, during an event with leaders of the Young Guards, a pro-Kremlin youth
		movement she joined.
		Chapman is
enticing viewers to tune in for her new television show by promising to
reveal "all secrets." However, the secrets will not be about her undercover
work in the United States, but about mysteries of the world.
