Dillon
Leslie, a senior at Lincoln High School and a building trades student at
Lincolnland Technical Education Center, was selected as the Springfield Area
Home Builders Association Student of the Month for his excellent work ethic,
great attitude and the excellent job he has done with construction in his career
in the building trades class.
Dillon was a part of the 2009-2010 group that built last year's project house
that was sold at the end of the year. This year, he has played a vital role in
constructing the new Humane Society of Logan County facility being built just
off Route 66.
Dillon plans on continuing his education in construction management in
college next year.
Dillon and his family have been invited to attend a scholarship dinner in May
where the SAHBA will announce their student of the year, selected from among the
monthly winners. The student chosen as student of the year wins a $1,000
scholarship to be applied toward their college education.
Great job, Dillon!
