A real mess is happening on Broadway Street right now. Here workers clear the dirt to uncover the sewer line that needs repairing. The work closed off the 500 block of Broadway as the dig has to go almost all the way across the street.

British Ambassador Peter Cater unveils a bronze bust of Oscar-winning actor Sean Connery, a prominent Scottish nationalist, at the Scottish Club in Tallin, Estonia, on Thursday. The bust was created by Estonia's most famous sculptor, Tiiu Kirsipuu, and is intended to mark the year Sir Sean turned 80. The club itself was founded in 1993 as a whiskey society, but it became associated with prominent politicians and top business figures. Based in the heart of Tallinn's UNESCO Heritage Site, its staff members dress in kilts to serve guests, while the carpet is tartan.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (12) is hit by Chicago Bears' Julius Peppers (90) during the second half of the NFC championship NFL football game Sunday in Chicago. Peppers was called for a penalty on the play.

Now the NFL has fined Peppers $10,000 for the hit.
