[January 28, 2011]  LOS ANGELES (AP) -- NBC Universal is now NBCUniversal -- without the space.

That was part of the message sent to the company's 15,000 employees at a town hall gathering on Thursday that featured top executives from prospective new owner Comcast Corp.

Employees got a chance to ask questions and watch interviews of executives such as Comcast CEO Brian Roberts and the new CEO of NBCUniversal, Steve Burke, via a feed that linked locations in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and London.

Each employee also received 25 Comcast shares, a family pass to one of the Universal theme parks and other materials including a "Big Idea Book" in which they were to record their own.

Comcast is expected to close on its deal to take a 51 percent stake of NBC Universal on Friday.
