Red Lions men improve to 15-5

[January 31, 2011]  The Red Lions of Lincoln Christian improved their season record to 15-5 with a 108-83 victory over St. Louis Christian College on Saturday.

The Red Lions had the lead by 52-37 at the half and outscored the Soldiers 12-2 in the opening three minutes of the second half.

Coach Matt Clark played his entire bench and all 14 players were in the scoring column. The starters for LCU scored 53 points and the bench contributed 55. The Red Lions were led by Chris Lawson with 19 points, Brady Cremeens with 13, Kyle Rust with 13 and Zach Mazrim with 10.

LCU shot 62.5 percent from the field, including 50 percent from 3-point range.

The Red Lions also controlled the boards with a 44-27 rebounding edge. Daniel Thompson accounted for 10 of the rebounds.

LCU will next play at Great Lakes Christian College on Friday and at Kuyper College on Saturday.
