Fried chicken for fireworks

Friday evening, even though it was terribly hot, the 4th of July Celebration Committee happily served up fried chicken dinners in an assembly line drive-thru that would make even the Colonel himself sit up and take notice.

Drivers pulled up to the food tent, placed their orders and drove away with generous portions of fresh fried chicken with baked beans and potato salad in a matter of seconds.

Not everyone came in cars; walk-ups were also welcome.

Outside of rolling their windows down, drivers didn't even break a sweat supporting this fundraiser.
