3 arraigned on multiple stolen firearms charges

[July 02, 2011]  During the investigation of residential burglaries in the 800 block of Decatur Street and the 800 block of Fourth Street, the Lincoln Police Department in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms arrested Dalton Harris, Aaron Hurt and Jacob Wampler in the 1100 block of Third Street on June 27 on charges of residential burglary and possession of stolen firearms.

A juvenile male was arrested June 28 in the 800 block of Decatur Street on a charge of residential burglary.

Yesterday afternoon Harris, Hurt and Wampler were arraigned before Judge Thomas Funk at the Logan County Courthouse.

Dalton Harris was charged with seven counts of aggravated possession of stolen weapons, Wampler with six counts and Hurt with 15 counts.

All three had their bond set at $250,000, 10 percent cash.

Harris and Hurt will next appear in court on July 12, with Wampler appearing July 5.

All three asked for and were appointed public defenders.
