With clear skies, and not too hot temperatures, it was the perfect evening to sit out in the fresh air and enjoy the fireworks at the Lincoln Park District.

As dusk approached, crowds of people arrived to see the show and enjoy the free watermelon. There was also a food vendor on the grounds, and many were seen with ice-cold drinks, corn dogs and fries.
