Monday morning there was a really nice turnout of kids, parents and pets for the annual old-fashioned children's walking parade in Lincoln.

The parade began on the south side of Scully Park and was escorted by city police Chief Ken Greenslate as the group proceeded to the Lincoln Park District Rec Center.

Even Uncle Sam was present for this year's parade.

Mayor Keith Snyder and Chuck Conzo, city treasurer, judged the entries.
