Water fight won by fire department -- Album 2

Every year, someone tries it. Advance from the flank, using the trash can as a shield. This year was no exception as at the annual Fourth of July water fight at the park district, several children attempted to "sneak up" on the firefighters.

Regardless of who wins or loses in this annual battle, it is so much fun that no one feels defeated.

"So I'm wet ... BIG deal."

A familiar ploy: advance behind a trash can.

Mayor Snyder lends a hand.

Another group attempts to approach from the side.

The firefighters hold their ground.

"Maybe I can deflect their water back on them!"

"If I can't beat you with a balloon, I'll beat you with a stick!"

"Not a good plan!"
