Grains futures rise, livestock prices slip

[July 06, 2011]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat fHardwareor September delivery jumped 26 cents to $6.3825 a bushel; December corn added 9.25 cents to $6.06 a bushel; December oats rose 5.5 cents to $3.585 a bushel; while November soybeans gained 8.5 cents to $13.21 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures slipped on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle dipped 0.05 cent to $1.1280 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.07 cent to $1.4040 a pound; August lean hogs slipped 0.05 cent to 93.10 cents a pound; while August pork bellies were unchanged at $1.065 a pound.
