Lincoln Chill 10U results

[July 07, 2011]  The Lincoln Chill 10-and-under team went 1-1 in pool play in the Springfield tournament. The Chill lost to the Alton Flames 11-1, with Kayla Maly as the losing pitcher. Lincoln won the second game 18-7 over the Sting, with Mackenzie Antoine as the winning pitcher.

During bracket play, the Lincoln Chill won three of their five games.

Offensively, the team was led by Chloe Laubenstein, who had one home run, one triple, one double and six singles. Mackenzie Antoine followed closely with one home run, one triple and six singles. Other offensive contributors were Savannah Terry with three doubles and seven singles, Maddie Tanner with two doubles and seven singles, Kayla Maly with two doubles and five singles, Kristen Osbourne with two doubles and four singles, Dakota Sebring with one double and three singles, Sid Worth with one double and one single, and J.C. Cooper with a single.

The team placed third overall in the tournament.

The 10U team will play this weekend in Decatur.

Team tryouts dates for next year will be coming out soon. The Lincoln Chill has 10U, 12U and 14U teams -- and will possibly have a 16U team.
