[July 07, 2011]  Community Action announced Wednesday that free fans are available to help clients stay cool during the hot summer months. Because of the limited availability, fans are currently being made available to those without air conditioning.

The fans have been made available thanks to the generous gifts of donors, including a $2,500 donation from the Lincoln Elks Lodge 914 Charitable Trust.

Anyone who is interested in receiving a fan or wishing to donate funds that will allow Community Action to purchase fans for clients should contact Kimberly Lucas at 217-732-2159, ext. 241.

Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois is a not-for-profit agency serving the low-income and senior populations of six counties in central Illinois. For more information, visit www.capcil.org.
