Skeletons of pipes are waiting to take shape in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Linda Nodine, wife of YMCA board member Gary Nodine, and Jan Schacht, YMCA executive director, prepare coffee, doughnuts, juice and fruit to get the workers off to a good start.

R.P. Lumber delivered bags of concrete, and the teams prepared the post holes around the supporting columns.

What started as three arched leg sections began to take shape and look like a swing set.

Step by step, the process continued and each section connected to another.

Team Reil, of Union, brings a trailer full of tools, equipment and all the necessary pieces and parts to construct the playground chosen by the organization.

Volunteers had every tool they needed to construct the playground. Everyone was able to help by using the available tools.

Volunteer spirit and plenty of teamwork was visible on Saturday as groups formed to finish a task, then re-formed as needed. No one was left without something to do.
